Pansy Riot Underway

Each painting has been finger painted in acrylic paintsticks on paper by Sue.
- Pansy Riot shows the purple and range of pansy colours grown in Australia. The "riot" refers to the bold colours in the painting and the incongruous juxtaposition of the fragile nature of flowers with the imagery of a riot. Sue was influenced by the 2020 March of Australian women to Parliament House in Canberra in the creation of this piece of work.
The prints show a group of Pansy flowers, colours Purple, Royal Blue, Orange and Red popping out from a green, yellow and brown background. The flowers are clustered together in competition fighting for primacy. The piece is bold and abstract at the same time.

Each painting has been hand painted in acrylic paintsticks by Sue in the ancient technique of finger painting. Every piece is unique and deeply connected to the artist through the medium.
Painting is available to view in Perth or Dunsborough. Delivery can be arranged to South West Western Australia. Due to the fragile nature of the painting shipping is not available.
